![]() Must be able to perform the duties of Petroleum Laboratory Specialist (92C20) supervises petroleum laboratory testing activities and participates in quality surveillance programs evaluates test results makes inspections to insure that proper equipment maintenance, petroleum surveillance, storage, and handling procedures are observed supervises injection of anti-icing additives and corrosion inhibitors during pipeline transfers establishes stock levels and requisitions and stores equipment, chemicals, reagents, CFR repair parts, and reference fuels provides technical guidance to users regarding operational problems determines methods of reclaiming or downgrading contaminated and deteriorated petroleum products plans work schedules, assigns duties, and trains personnel in laboratory techniques establishes files of technical references and specifications prepares and reviews administrative and technical reports Must be able to perform the duties of Petroleum Storage Specialist (76W40) or Petroleum Laboratory Specialist (92C40) serves as principal noncommissioned officer of petroleum battalion, brigade, or group engaged in storage, distribution, and issue of Class III supplies assists in planning, coordination, and supervision of petroleum storage and distribution operations assists command and staff officers in appraisals of petroleum operations and training activities collects, prepares, and distributes material and data pertaining to petroleum operations and training supervises and inspects duties performed by subordinate noncommissioned officers of the unit serves as First Sergeant of a company interprets and supervises execution of company policy and SOP assists in planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities that support the company mission advises company commander on all matters concerning enlisted personnel, to include assignments, reassignments, transfers, promotions, granting of passes and leave, punishments, welfare, privileges, and awards directs and coordinates company administration forms unit for drill, ceremonies, and other military formations receives report of personnel present and absent, and reports numbers of unauthorized absences holds NCO call to disseminate instructions and information to subordinate enlisted supervisors coordinates operation of company food service and supply activities assists company commander in accomplishing unit training assists in inspection of organizational activities as prescribed by commander, observes discrepancies, and initiates appropriate corrective action. Supervises or performs physical and chemical tests on petroleum products and operates Cooperative Fuel Research (CFR) test engines.
